A war in Iran this year is not such a far fetched idea when looking at all the facts surrounding the saga. The consequences of a war in Iran however will have a dramatic effect for the world at large – with recessions occurring left right and centre a war would not be very welcome as petrol prices will go sky high and food may become more expensive.

A comprehensive race poll commissioned by the Voice newspaper has found that 94% of black people in Britain feel that racism remains an issue in UK society. Of these, seven out of ten believe that the level of racism in the country has worsened or at best remained the same over the last three to four years of Labour government.

Sometimes it feels as if the politics (and practices) of spin have taken over, have gone way too far and are given far too much air time. Sometimes it feels as if there is a mastermind behind this flood of ‘controversial’ news and opinions about terrorism, Muslims and Britain. This saturation of information has lead to frequent repetition, which in turn has lead to a mixture of boredom and irritation all at once.

Is it just me or has the size zero debate been dragging on for too long now. There has been enough media coverage circulating the subject over the past year for these girls (and the whole of Britain) to know and fully understand the risks of being a size zero and starving themselves to the point of severe anorexia.We all make our own choices in life, so I say leave them to it.
