A Comparison between the Policies of the Nazi Party
and the British National Party

The following information is taken from the Nazi Party’s 1925 Platform, the BNP’s ‘Statement of Principles’ , and the BNP’s ‘Party Policies’ unless otherwise indicated.
On an Ethnically Cleansed Nation:
Nazi Party
“We demand the union of all Germans in a Great Germany on the basis of the principle of self-determination of all peoples.”
BNP
It (BNP) believes that the indigenous peoples of the entire British Isles, and their descendants overseas, form a single brotherhood of peoples, and is pledged therefore to adapt or create political, cultural, economic and military institutions with the aim of fostering the closest possible partnership between these peoples”.
Nazi Party
“Only those who are our fellow countrymen can become citizens. Only those who have German blood, regardless of creed, can be our countrymen. Hence no Jew can be a countryman.”
BNP
“The British National Party stands for the preservation of the national and ethnic character of the British people and is wholly opposed to any form of racial integration between British and non-European peoples.”
“BNP activists and writers should never refer to 'black Britons' or 'Asian Britons' etc, for the simple reason that such persons do not exist.”
On Immigration:
Nazi Party
“Any further immigration of non-Germans must be prevented. We demand that all non-Germans who have entered Germany since August 2, 1914, shall be compelled to leave the Reich immediately.”
BNP
“It is therefore committed to stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration and to restoring, by legal changes, negotiation and consent, the overwhelmingly white makeup of the British population that existed in Britain prior to 1948.”
On Censorship & Political Control over the Mass Media:
Nazi Party
“We demand that there be a legal campaign against those who propagate deliberate political lies and disseminate them through the press.”
BNP
“The BNP stands for the revolutionary principle that the printing presses and broadcast channels of the media must tell the truth in their reports.... we will create a new criminal offence of ‘The deliberate dissemination of falsehoods about an individual or organisation for financial or political gain’ by any media outlet.”
Nazi Party
“All editors and their assistants on newspapers published in the German language shall be German citizens.”
BNP
“A separate danger to genuine democracy comes from the concentration of ownership and control of the mass media in too few hands, particularly when the hands concerned are those of foreigners whose primary loyalty is not to Britain.”4
On the Role of Education to Instill Ultra-Nationalist Beliefs:
‘BNP have a foothold in schools, say teachers’ (Guardian, 6th April, 2010)
Nazi Party
“Education played a very important part in Nazi Germany in trying to cultivate a loyal following for Hitler and the Nazis. The Nazis were aware that education would create loyal Nazis by the time they reached adulthood…History was based on the glory of Germany - a nationalistic approach was compulsory… Biology became a study of the different races to ‘prove’ that the Nazi belief in racial superiority was a sound belief.”
BNP
“We will end the practice of politically correct indoctrination in all its guises and we will restore discipline in the classroom, give authority back to teachers…We will also seek to instill in our young people knowledge of and pride in the history, cultures and heritage of the native peoples of Britain.”
On Racial Discrimination within Employment:
Nazi Party
“On 1 April 1933, Jewish doctors, shops, lawyers and stores were boycotted…These laws meant that Jews were now indirectly and directly dissuaded or banned from privileged and superior positions reserved for “Aryan” Germans. From then on, Jews were forced to work at more menial positions, beneath other non-Jews.”
BNP
“We will ensure that our manufactured goods are, wherever possible, produced in British factories, employing British workers...We further believe that British industry, commerce, land and other economic and natural assets belong in the final analysis to the British nation and people…We also call for preference in the job market to be given to native Britons.”
On Advocating Systematically Politicised Violence:
Nazi Party
In the two months between Hitler becoming Chancellor and the next elections in March 1933, Nazi gangs roamed the streets shooting, beating up, and torturing their opponents; 50,000 Nazis joined the police…The elections were in effect rigged and took place in an atmosphere of Nazi violence and intimidation
BNP
The Telegraph April 7th
‘Nick Griffin, the leader of the British National Party, has been accused of advocating violence after suggesting that those excluded from the democratic process had a right to “hurt people”’
Mr. Dominic Carman said:
“This demonstrates the true intentions and thinking of Nick Griffin who has never abandoned his street politics of violence while at the same time pretending his is democratic.”
